Greeting friends! My name is Randy Dylan. I am from Suffolk, Virginia. I have been retired for over 5 years now. I used to work as a police officer. It was a very rewarding but dangerous job. I put my life on the line for citizens like you every single day. I love the adrenaline rush of my job. But now that I am retired, I am now enjoying life fully with my wife of 30 years. We love each other so much and were inseparable. However a year ago, tragic happened. No one saw it coming. My wife died of a stroke. I was extremely depressed. Life flashed before my eyes and I felt no will to live. However, I found art to be my salvation. I was watching a television program one night on PBS about art and that kept my mind busy. Although I miss my wife every single day of my life and I think of her often, I know she would want me to continue to live happily.

Now, I volunteer at a museum and share my love of art with the visitors of the museum. I give guided tour of our museum in Suffolk. Many visitors that attend my tours always leave our museum learning something new. It keeps me going and also I get to meet many nice and new people like you. Basically, I found my new calling and it is art.
